The CANA fraternities in the Lyon and Grenoble regions of France have just held a wonderful weekend on the theme of “Living the 5 senses as a couple”.
More than 40 couples and 70 children experienced their first CANA Fraternity weekend at the beginning of the year. The weekend gave couples the opportunity to focus on hearing, seeing and touching. Couples were able to walk with the 5 senses, pray and take time to share with each other and with other couples.
Children also explored this theme. Family time was also on offer.

The weekend was both joyful and profound, enabling couples to deepen their conjugal unity by tackling concrete themes of married life.
This new weekend theme proposed for CANA couples in France coincides with the theme of Pope Francis’ latest Encyclical – “He Loved Us” – on the human and divine love of the Heart of Jesus Christ. In Chapter II “Gestures and words of love”, Pope Francis writes: “The Lord knows the beautiful science of caresses. God’s tenderness does not love us with words. He draws near to us and, close to us, he gives us his love with all the tenderness possible”.
Here’s some feedback from one of the participating couples:
“A big thank you to the whole team! A wonderful discovery of CANA for the whole family, and already concrete, soothing aims are being put in place… Gratitude!“
