As summer approached, one question preoccupied us: “What are we going to offer the Church to experience in this jubilee year of hope that is coming?”
A few days later, in Tigery (France), the end of our community week gave us the answer: the Community is beautiful when it celebrates, and that’s what we wanted to share! The idea for the Summer Festival was born from there…
The idea is simple and based on three pillars:
- WELCOME EVERYONE. Different paths are available for “all” audiences (or almost all ☺) on the same site: those close to the Community through a parish or not, single people or couples, young people on the path to marriage or older couples, with or without children…
The Summer Festival offers six different itineraries:
- CANA Couples
- CANA Engaged Couples
- CANA Retreat: a program adapted to the presence of children on site ☺
- Training course to better understand and experience the Eucharist
- Course on the life of St. Hildegard von Bingen
- “Leisure and relaxation” course
- BE OPEN TO NEW THINGS. Of course, each journey will have its own specific moments. But bringing these journeys together in the same session opens up new paths: the Holy Spirit pushes us towards new things. Family time; talent night; a specific journey for children… And lots more to imagine!
- WORKING TOGETHER. The diversity of backgrounds brings together a diversity of servants (couples, young people, etc.). And it’s good to be together in service on the same site.
Lord, we entrust to you the 2025 Summer Festival in Tigery. Continue to guide us and prepare our hearts for your coming in this session. And come and dispose the heart of each participant. Amen!
