First CANA week in Portugal: Emerson and Caroline experienced a real turning point in their life as a couple and as a family. It was a blessed time to talk, forgive, pray, love… and leave with hearts full of hope.
“When we heard that CANÁ Week was finally going to take place for the first time in Portugal, we immediately felt in our hearts that it was meant for us. We were in need of time for ourselves as a couple, away from the busyness of daily life, and also a space where we could grow spiritually as a family.
Taking part in this week was a true blessing. God worked deeply in our relationship: we were able to talk about topics that been left unspoken, pray together in a new way, and share joys and vulnerabilities without fear. We felt welcomed, respected, and loved, not only by God, but also by the community and the other couples. Our daughter also had very happy days: the activities for children were wonderful, full of joy, and she came home talking about the beautiful experiences she had at Costa Nova.
It is a great blessing for Portugal to host something as beautiful as Caná Week. We needed a space like this, different from what is usually offered here, where couples can take care of their love, receive formation, be listened to, and renew their strength. We saw many couples transformed, rediscovering joy and hope, and we know this week will bear much fruit for Portuguese families. We left with full hearts, certain that God wants families to be united, strong, and happy. We are very grateful to the Chemin Neuf Community for giving us this unique experience!”
