Lisa, toward new horizons
After two unforgettable years with CANA, the time has come for me to close this chapter of my life. My apprenticeship is coming to an end, and I’m ready to take flight toward new horizons, my heart full of gratitude and my mind brimming with memories. With my diploma in hand, I’m eager to explore the world, with a growing thirst for new adventures and enriching cultural encounters.
It is with great confidence that I pass the torch to Angélique, who is taking over the communications mission at CANA with passion. I have no doubt that she will guide you brilliantly and continue this beautiful work. I trust that you will welcome her with open arms and surround her with your kindness. Even though our collaboration was brief, I was delighted to meet her and share this transition period with her. Now, I let her spread her wings with confidence.
When I arrived at the CANA house two years ago, I had stars in my eyes and a heart full of joy at the thought of diving into this new world. I had no idea how much this journey would impact me. These two years have taught me how to work as a team, to become more independent, and to discover so much about myself.
Working for CANA has been a deeply enriching experience. I have grown in an environment where kindness was the guiding principle, allowing me to develop both professionally and personally. I was also fortunate to participate in the service weeks during the summer, where I met wonderful people—families who inspired me, and brothers and sisters with whom I shared simple yet profoundly meaningful moments. This is what will remain engraved in my heart—the feelings of joy and love I experienced during those service weeks in the Dombes. Seeing couples and families share so much happiness together gave purpose to all the work done throughout the year. These experiences have made me stronger and better prepared to enter the professional world. I leave with a deeper understanding of myself, which I’m certain will help me shape my future with confidence.
I encourage the entire CANA team to continue this wonderful work in service to couples from all around the world. It has been a privilege to be part of this beautiful and meaningful mission.
Thank you so much to the entire CANA team for these two years rich in learning. Thank you for your support, your kindness, and, above all, for the unforgettable moments we shared together.
I especially want to thank Audrey, Maribou, the Haudebourgs, the Cormiers, and everyone at the CANA house for their warm welcome and precious friendship.
It is with a heavy heart but a big smile on my face that I say goodbye. This isn’t a farewell, just a “see you soon” as I head toward new paths.
Good luck, Angélique, and may this wonderful journey carry you as far as it has carried me!
With all my affection,
Lisa
Angélique, entre dans la danse
Hi everyone,
My name is Angélique Lew-Man-Mew, I’m originally from Reunion Island, and I’m excited to announce that I will be taking over Lisa’s role as the Digital and Graphic Communications Manager.
I’m currently entering my third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Management at Sup de Com Lyon, and I’m thrilled to be joining the CANA International team for my apprenticeship this year. I’ll be present three days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), and I’m looking forward to collaborating with each of you.
I first discovered the Chemin Neuf Community in Reunion Island. I began working in graphic design for the 18-30 mission in 2018, and since then, my passion for creativity and communication has only grown. This apprenticeship opportunity with CANA feels like a clear sign from the Lord—it’s a role that truly resonates with me, and I am committed to bringing all of my joy and energy to the work. CANA International is the perfect place to meet, exchange, and connect with people from all over the world, a place where cultures blend just like on my island. I’m excited for us to have a wonderful year together and to grow both professionally and personally.
I can’t wait to start working with you, and I’ll see you soon at CANA International.
Angélique
