The 1,2,3… CANA weekends, which began on February 14, concluded on March 15, 2026. Of the 18 couples who registered, 17 were able to complete the entire program, and it was with great joy that we saw each of them express a desire to go further by committing to the CANA Mission.
Many shared how these weeks allowed them to rekindle the joy of their marriage or of their first meeting. Through letters, dialogue, reconciliation, and moments of celebration, they were able to rediscover the strength and beauty of their love.
One couple simply shared how much this session had touched their daily lives. In Malagasy culture, it is common for spouses to address each other by their parental identity—for example, “papan’i Julie” to refer to Julie’s father. After the session, they felt a desire to reconnect in a new way, and, since they hadn’t done so in a very long time, they began calling each other by their first names again. For them, this simple gesture was like laying the first stones of a renewed intimacy.
What a blessing!
