Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the joy of love! CANA teams have been busy welcoming couples. Here is a look back at a weekend in Lebanon and an evening in France.
Lebanon, a full week-end
In Lebanon, they chose a whole weekend, rich in connection, to enjoy Valentine’s Day ! 52 couples gathered to celebrate their love, around the theme “full connection” !
How to have a good and complete connection with the spouse at home and especially in the bedroom? And thus, to be able to radiate outside, starting with the family and going towards the wider society.
Couples arrived on Saturday morning and were welcomed with relaxing games followed by a short talk on connection within the couple at home. Finally, each couple shared and reflected both individually and/or together. The highlight of this Valentine’s Day was a candlelight dinner with dancing and singing.
On Sunday, they had a worship session, followed by a personal prayer and prayer as a couples. Each of them was asked to do an individual reflection, as well as to fill in a card with the 5 points of connection discussed in the Saturday short talk.
Back to the marital connection, all the leaders of the CANA fraternity organized a talk-show around targeted questions on the intimate life in the couple and the problems encountered.
They were able to take the time to present the Chemin Neuf Community, as well as the different missions and more precisely the CANA mission. They had the opportunity to announce the date of the CANA week for this summer: fom the 15th of July until the 20th of July. More information on CANA Lebanon’s website.
This weekend was closed by a mass.
Elie and Saïdé BAKHOS, CANA leaders in Lebanon, left full of joy and satisfaction of the organized weekend. During the review, the couples testified of the joy they felt at each level, they left with a better connection, “connected to heaven where there is the base station” said Elie and Saïdé.

Tuesday, February 21, the CANA house in Pothières was transformed into a beehive! For the past two years, the parish of Anse has been entrusted to the Chemin Neuf Community and the teams met again to animate a different Valentine’s evening for those we meet at Sunday mass in the neighboring parishes or for friends and acquaintances who do not yet know CANA.
The large dining room was revisited and decorated, the kitchen teams surpassed themselves to make the dinner worthy of a very good restaurant. Mood music and soft lighting. Entertainment…to make this time very special: testimony and a little teaching to give communication references for our life together, sharing as a couple whispered over a good glass of wine, of course!
