In February 2026, CANA in Martinique launched the 9-month CANA Welcome program in response to requests from several couples who had participated in a CANA open house.
20 couples (married, engaged, or considering marriage…) have chosen to embark on this new journey to experience an adventure together as a couple.
15 of these couples have confirmed their participation in the formation weekend on June 27 and 28.
A weekend centered on the theme of the joy of love, so that God’s love may nourish their relationship.
Through “The Path of Joy,” testimonies, guided adoration, teachings, times of fellowship and couple-focused activities, the Eucharist, and a joyful karaoke session with the families from the small groups, the couples gained a deeper understanding of the CANA mission’s approach to building community.
It was a time of happiness and grace for these couples and families, who experienced the joy of growing not only as couples and families but also within the fellowship. They shared with us their joy in living authentic moments of fellowship with couples they would not have initially chosen.
For the couples involved in the CANA mission, it was an opportunity to serve their new brothers and sisters in CANA Welcome and to experience a little more of the joy of giving of themselves (decorating, children, cooking, testimonies, leading songs…).
“Bring me water from your well; the good wine is for now…”
