{"id":7225,"date":"2021-02-18T14:54:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-18T13:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/next.cana.org\/to-know-love-each-other-better\/"},"modified":"2021-10-19T09:47:43","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T07:47:43","slug":"to-know-love-each-other-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cana.org\/en\/to-know-love-each-other-better\/","title":{"rendered":"To know &#038; love each other better"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>CANA Fianc\u00e9s mission<\/strong>&nbsp;was launched at the same time as CANA\u2019s other missions on&nbsp;<strong>September 27, 2021,<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Saint Jean Baptiste De la Salle College in Ouagadougou.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 1st CANA week-end for couples on November 14 and 15, 2020 was opened to fianc\u00e9s. So eight engaged couples were able to reflect on the chosen theme \u201cGratitude\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this pastoral year 2020-2021, three days have been scheduled for the CANA Fianc\u00e9s programme. The first one was under the theme:&nbsp;<strong>\u201cTo know &amp; love each other better\u201d.<\/strong>&nbsp;44 engaged couples and 3 singles attended. The day took place on January 17, 2021, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. This massive participation was made possible by the information relayed by the brothers and sisters on social networks (WhatsApp, Facebook and radio communication).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the day and to open the theme, the participants introduced themselves, and each of the fianc\u00e9s shared \u201cwhat they particularly like about each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The teaching given by Calixte and Adeline revolved around three main points:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-colorful wp-block-list\"><li><em>What does it mean to love each other?<\/em><\/li><li><em>Why to love each other?<\/em><\/li><li><em>How to enjoy a deeper and stronger love?<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cana.org\/dam?media-id=602e7bdc396588cf496ec0a7&amp;width=350&amp;height=467\" alt=\"\" width=\"-41\" height=\"-55\"\/><figcaption><strong>Calixte et Adeline KABORE,\r\nCANA Fianc\u00e9s<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To enrich this teaching, Adolphe and Amandine COMPAORE, leaders of the CANA mission in Burkina Faso, gave their testimony about their participation in a CANA Fianc\u00e9s week in 2002 and the fruits they received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing groups were then formed and participants were able to share around the following theme: \u201cWhat are the points of the teaching that I remember and would like to share? What are the questions that this teaching raises in me?\u201d Several participants chose \u201ccommunication\u201d as a way to get to know each other better in order to love each other better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The fianc\u00e9s then met as a couple to share two questions on the theme:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-colorful wp-block-list\"><li>\u201cShare one or two happy events, which have most marked my life since we met.\u201d<\/li><li>\u201cShare the values received from my family that matter to me (maximum 02).\u201d\r\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cana.org\/dam?media-id=602e1a6e39658837776ec0bf&amp;width=300&amp;height=225\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eucharist was celebrated by Father Jean Claude KOFFI and co-celebrated by Father Henri ZONGO. Father Jean Claude has focused his homily on three words: \u201cfulfilled\u201d, \u201cto give of oneself\u201d and \u201cto listen.\u201d He urged the fianc\u00e9s to listen to the Lord\u2019s call and to give of themselves to make each other happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This first CANA Fianc\u00e9s day took place at the&nbsp;<strong>Saint Ignace Community House in Ouagadougou,<\/strong>&nbsp;under the responsibility of&nbsp;<strong>No\u00e9lie &amp; Bernard ZOUGOURI.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a busy day, the joy could be seen on all the faces and appointment was given for the 14 March 2021 for the 2nd CANA Fianc\u00e9s day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">Calixte and Ad\u00e9line KABORE\r\nCANA Fianc\u00e9s BURKINA FASO<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CANA Fianc\u00e9s mission in Burkina Faso is developing and a beautiful programme has been prepared for this year, 2020-2021.
